Summer Workshops in Villa Verka’S Garden with Galya

Our garden has always been a place for gathering and socializing. We believe that this atmosphere is exceptionally conducive to learning new skills.
Our idea is to hold three one-day workshops in the relaxed setting of Villa Verka’s garden, dedicated to recycling, hand sewing, and natural cooking.
What to expect:
– Instructions and guidance presented in an accessible and understandable way, tailored to the individual needs of the participants and the group.
– A pleasant, cool garden.
– Herbal tea and coffee during breaks.
– Tasting of products made at Villa Verka.

The workshops are also suitable for children over 10 years old.
No sewing experience (hand or machine) is required.

Please indicate if you have any experience in sewing and/or working with textiles and recycled materials. This information is necessary so we can tailor the workshop as much as possible to the group and individual participants.

Workshops on techniques for hand-repairing favorite clothes
Everyone is invited to bring their own favorite garment that they would like to extend the life of, as well as materials/pieces of fabric, lace, and other items they would like to use for the restoration.
Hand restoration—more commonly known as mending—is not only necessary but can also be a very creative process.
We’ll share memories of mending and discuss whether there’s still a place for it in modern life.
Based on the materials brought by participants, we’ll learn some restoration/mending techniques.
And here’s a saying for inspiration and a smile: If you don’t have patience, don’t take up mending.
Natural cuisine tastings:

• Recycling kitchen waste.
